He was born into the engineering forward culture of Silicon Valley, but was raised by a family of couture tailors. From a young age, these influences instilled in him a naturally curious and process oriented instinct to create.
He grew up working with his hands, learning to handsculpt wood, silversmith and sew. Through college at the Parsons School of Design, he refined his design approach and honed it to complement his love of materiality and construction techniques.
His work primarily focuses on furniture and the built environment. He seeks to create objects for people who have an inherrent curiosity for the things that surround them - objects that cherish the quality of raw materials and the making techniques utilized to process them.
